OVERVIEW
A design practice founded by Erica Sellers in 2020, working between New York and Berlin across interiors, interior architecture, custom furniture and exhibition environments. Hanna Propst leads the architectural and interior side.
The studio's base is a Ridgewood townhouse converted into the House of S II, used at once as archive, showroom and exhibition space.
WHY IT MATTERS
Furniture and spaces that explicitly combine futurism, science fiction and provocative cinematic atmosphere.
CONTEXT
The stated position is unusually explicit: objects and environments as speculative artifacts, functional yet symbolic, where design becomes a tool for questioning systems of value, power and desire.
The method the studio names is cinematic atmosphere, precision fabrication and material experimentation, and the spaces are described as made for intimacy, ritual and reinterpretation over time.
